This is a design proposal for a skate park project under a bridge. The bridge is proposed for central Hamilton city. Within this project I saw a need for the recognition of a current group of people who use this space, namely Hamilton’s youth population.
My proposal includes a skate bowl, allowance for public art, a healthy food outlet and gardens. The gardens help bridge the boundaries between the teenage world and the adult world outside. The bunker Skate Park offers Hamilton’s youth an affordable and healthy place to hang out and feel comfortable.
